With the new year it’s time, as everyone does, to set some unrealistic goals. But here’s hoping mine are something I can stick to, injury and illness permitting of course.
- Something I have been trying to do for a little while now is a sub 20 minute 5k. This year my time has come down from 23:10 (Sept 2013) to 20:48 (in the last few weeks). So if I can carry on in that vein then I should be able to knock more time off. Being realistic, I am going to aim to get under 20:20 then anything better than that is a bonus.
- Complete a marathon. I’m not going to set a time target, just to complete one.
- To get a PB for a half marathon. I’ve a couple planned for the year, my current PB is 1:45:45 (unofficial) and 1:47:32 (official). The official time was a hard hilly course so I’m hopeful I can do this.
Although I’m tempted to do more, this should keep me busy for the next twelve months surely. Look out for future posts (hopefully).
