So after 4 training runs, two surrounded by protein and energy bars and two just normal days, it turns out there was only seconds between each:

  • With energy bars the same route was 00:35:36 and 00:35:07
  • Without energy bars that same routes was 00:35:25 and 00:35:53, the latter was ruined by a stitch.

Conclusion, well, I don’t think I can write one.  It would indicate that having these relatively expensive energy bars does not make that much difference.  Or it could be (more likely), that I am not the fine tuned athlete to test on and there is not enough data.  I will continue to run and continue to try the bars, only the tasty ones of course.
