So, the most popular race of the Medway 5k Series done in a time of 19:24, my best time for 5,000m. Although disappointed at the time, on reflection, still a pretty good time.
Next, I logged on to The Power of 10 to see my results only for it not to be there. Hmm, where has it gone? Everyone else I know who ran it doesn’t have a time either.
After some investigation by Neill, it turns out that as there were no official timers at the race and that Medway Council had registered it as a 5,000m and not a 5k (which I thought were the same thing), it’s not an official time.
I do have the comfort of it being recorded on my watch and that I know myself I ran it, it’s just, it’s not official.
As much as I enjoyed the Medway 5k series, this has let the series down and probably something I wont do again.
