So this guy… ran 2:00:24. He didn’t have a lift, he wasn’t on a bike and he is not on drugs, or at least we don’t think so.
So why didn’t he get the World Record? The official line was that new pacers were introduced half way and drinks were supplied on scooters. Really? He ran the 26.2 miles, no one else did.
In my eyes, that was the fastest anyone has run a marathon, hence, a world record.
